Manufacturing Engineer
Summary
Analyse utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operation
Essential Functions
- Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization
- Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
- Identify methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment
- Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations
- Support on going manufacturing operations including and not limited to changes, modifications, enhancements etc.
- Documents existing projects, processes and procedures to support standard operating procedures protocol
- Develop layout alternatives for improving efficiency in the manufacturing process flow
- Studies operations sequence, material flow, and functional information to determine worker functions and responsibilities
- Provide project management, technical engineering support for continuous improvement initiative for both new and existing processes
- Communicate with all levels of personnel (executive, management, production personnel, etc.)
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and coordinate work accordingly
- Maintains an active role on the shop floor while working on assigned projects
- Performs other related duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing technology or related field
- 2 -4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Desirable Skills:
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a PLUS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, MS Project)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience with Auto CAD/Promote is a PLUS

Purchasing Manager
Summary
Under general supervision, oversees the approval and control of the purchasing function within limits of delegated authority.
