Each Thanksgiving Decore-ative Specialties offers every employee a turkey to celebrate a meal with their family and friends. For the past 7 years as part of this program, Andrew Lansford has donated turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner to Hope House, a local Southern California organization offering specialized care and housing for handicapped children and adults. Hope House has offered residential and mentoring services to those in need since 1963. Their Mission states “Hope House residential services exists to improve the lives of children and adults with special needs by providing a therapeutic living environment emphasizing learning and encouraging individual development, growth and socialization. In a world where being different used to mean isolation from society, we advocate for our residents to have a life full of personal, meaningful choices.” More information about Hope House can be found at their website: http://hopehouse.org.
Andrew, pictured on the far left, is the grandson of our company’s founder Jack Lansford Sr. and is Decore-ative Specialties' Product Manager. In the spirit of Thanksgiving he loves donating turkeys to this organization which helps so many families and individuals in need. He says “It’s so rewarding to see what a large impact such a small gesture can make. I am thankful to Hope House and thankful I work for Decore-ative Specialties, both so willing to give their support of people in great need.”
A key figure in the success of Decore-ative Specialties has been the leadership of Jack Lansford, Jr. in the expansion of its products and capabilities, which in turn has influenced the custom cabinet market.
