Ladislado Moreno with some of the Irwindale Team
On December 12, 2023, Decore-ative Specialties celebrated the retirement of Ladislado Moreno after over 36 years of employment. Ladislado spent his years working in the Pole Shed at our Irwindale, CA facility where lumber is stored, inspected, sorted for material grades, and sent into Production.
Ladislado shared, “When I first started at Decore, I did not know anything about wood. Here at Decore, I’ve learned so much about wood, all types of wood. I have learned all woods that are produced here in the US and all types of different ones that come from all over the world.
I have many good memories here. The best is everything I learned over the years. I have given back all my knowledge to those around me. I’ve given it all back the same way Jack Lansford Sr. taught me. He was a great mentor and I tried to be the same.”
Ladislado plans to spend time with his kids in retirement and dedicate his time to his family.
