What are Value Grade materials?

Value Grade is a good option when cost is a concern and a dark finish color will hide any objectionable wood characteristics. Value Grade materials will have variation in the wood that is not present in Finish Grade wood. Value Grade can be considered a paint grade or natural look and is not suggested for clear finishes or light stains.
