Susan doors

What is a Susan?

A Susan door application consists of 2 doors joined at the inside corner of a right-angle cabinet.

How are they used?

Susan doors are hinged together and then affixed to right-angle cabinets. This allows more access and space than other methods of installing corner cabinets.

What methods can the customer use to apply Susan Doors?

Method 1: Order both doors at the same size, joining at the outside face edge. It can be applied to the cabinet use a 165-degree Salice Hinge. The doors may be joined together by using a Salice Susan Hinge or a customer-supplied Piano Hinge.

Method 2:Order one door at the standard size, and the other with the overall width and the width of one stile larger, by the thickness of the door itself. The less-wide door will be butted to the frame of the wider door’s larger stile. This gives the appearance of each door being the same size on the face, but with the back corner spaced filled.
